GIANTS defender Zac Williams has informed the club that he wishes to explore his free agency options.

The 26-year old from Narrandera in regional New South Wales has played 113 games for the GIANTS since being elevated from the rookie list in 2013.

The defender has informed the club that his preferred destination is a Victorian club to be closer to his sister who’s based in Albury.

GIANTS General Manager Football Jason McCartney said: “It’s disappointing to receive this news as Zac has come a long way since coming through the GIANTS Academy pathway.

“We understand that free agency is part of the current football landscape and that the players have the right to go down this path.”

Williams played 11 games in 2020 mainly as a half back and midfielder and is a restricted free agent.
