Last Friday, the GIANTS community came together for something truly special, the very first GIANTS Foundation Day.
More than 40 volunteers from football to corporate, committee, and board, rolled up their sleeves to support the club’s Foundation partners, preparing hampers at Addison Road Community Organisation, baking treats for families and children in care, and helping wherever it was needed. The day was about more than volunteering; it was about connection.
Staff worked alongside colleagues from different departments and everyone had the chance to see firsthand the incredible impact our community partners make every day.
GIANTS Foundation Board Members Katie Isaacs (and family) and Ian Hogg joined in celebrating the inaugural day. Their presence and support added something truly special and reinforced the importance of the work that the GIANTS Foundation is doing.
Head of GIANTS Foundation, Stacey Davies, said the inaugural Foundation Day was a success.
“The club’s inaugural Foundation Day was a success not just because of what we achieved, but because of how we achieved it,” she said.
“It was done in unity and it was a fantastic way for us to connect with our local community and get a first-hand view of the amazing work that they do to support those in need.
“Following the morning’s activities, everyone came back together for a shared lunch, tired, a little sweaty, but proud.
“With the energy and spirit created this year, Foundation Day is set to become a cherished annual tradition, one that reflects who we are as a club and the community we aim to serve.
“Here’s to many more to come.”
