Star defender Sam Taylor will play his first game of the season on Sunday as one of three huge inclusions for the GIANTS’ clash with the Demons in Alice Springs.
Yet to feature in 2026 after suffering a high-grade hamstring injury in February’s State of Origin clash, the dual All Australian has completed a lengthy rehab process and has now been deemed fit and ready to return to Adam Kingsley’s side.
Also entering the team to take on the Demons is fellow All Australian Lachie Whitfield and exciting utility Leek Aleer.
Whitfield returns to the side after he was a late out of last week’s impressive win over the Lions with hamstring soreness, while Aleer returns after missing the last three games with a low-grade ankle injury.
Aleer will look to continue a strong season which has seen him thrive in a new role as a back-up ruckman.
Exiting this week’s side are injured duo Jack Buckley (hamstring) and Jake Riccardi (ankle), as well as young defender Harry Oliver (omitted).
After a record-breaking win over the Lions, the GIANTS will be looking to carry that momentum to the Top End this weekend in an exciting clash with the sixth-placed Demons in Alice Springs.
