The return of Origin stars Toby Greene, Jesse Hogan, Lachie Ash, and Stephen Coniglio headline the GIANTS’ squad for Thursday’s AAMI Community Series clash with the Swans at Henson Park.

Having been rested for the club’s match simulation win over the Pies last week following Origin duties, the quartet have all been named for the club’s second and final pre-season hit-out as they face off with the Swans in what’s sure to be a spicy pre-season Sydney Derby.

The likes of Connor Idun, Jack Buckley, Lachie Whitfield, and Jake Stringer will also take on the Swans on Thursday, as will some lesser experienced GIANTS, with youngsters Phoenix Gothard, Nick Madden and Joey Delana also named to take on the cross-town rivals.

Boom recruit Clayton Oliver will also feature against the Swans in what will be his second outing in GIANTS colours following his starring performance in last Friday’s win over the Pies in Victoria.

After finishing last week’s game early, Kieren Briggs [general soreness] and Callum Brown [ankle] have been named but will undergo a match day fitness test to determine their availability to take on the Swans.

Thursday’s AAMI Community Series Clash, which will get under way at 4:10pm on Thursday, will be the first time the GIANTS and the Swans have ever faced off in an AFL game at Henson Park.

Thursday’s game will also serve as the GIANTS’ final tune-up ahead of next week’s huge Opening Round match with the Hawks on Saturday, March 7 at ENGIE Stadium.
