Former Port Adelaide Premiership winner and Club Champion Brett Montgomery joined the GIANTS’ coaching staff following the 2022 AFL season.

The appointment added to new Head Coach Adam Kinglsey’s coaching team with Kinglsey to be joined by his 2004 premiership teammate in the orange and charcoal.  

Montgomery brings a wealth of coaching experience to the club, having worked at Carlton, the Western Bulldogs and most recently Port Adelaide over 13 years as an assistant coach.  

Montgomery also briefly worked with the GIANTS in 2018 as an opposition analyst.  

He played 204 AFL games for the Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide from 1997-2007, won the John Cahill Medal as the Power’s club champion in 2000 and was named in the All Australian team in 2002.
