A huge curtain raiser to the Sydney Derby at ENGIE Stadium and a trip to the Riverina headlines the GIANTS’ remaining VFL fixture for the back half of the 2026 Smithy’s VFL season.
On Friday the league confirmed the dates, times and venues for the VFL fixture for rounds 14-20, with the GIANTS set for a huge VFL-AFL double-header for Sydney Derby XXXIII at ENGIE Stadium on Saturday, July 25.
The newly released fixture will see the GIANTS continue their VFL finals push with a host of big clashes, including a special home game in the Riverina and a VFL Expansion Cup clash with the Suns at Tom Wills Oval also being highlights.
First up following Friday’s announcement is a round 14 clash with the Hawks at Box Hill City Oval on Saturday, June 27.
Round 15 will then see the GIANTS descend on the Riverina as they host Coburg at the Narrandera Sportsground on Sunday, July 5 at 10:30am.
After a bye in round 16 the GIANTS will take on Frankston at Kinetic Stadium in round 17 before taking on the cross-town rivals in a huge Sydney Derby in round 18 on Saturday, July 25 at 12:35pm.
In round 19 the GIANTS will take on the Sharks in Southport on Saturday, August 1 before returning home to Tom Wills Oval for an exciting clash with the Suns at 11am on Sunday, August 9.
The date, time, and venue for the final round of the season, which will be a historic day as the GIANTS and Tasmania clash for the first time ever, will be announced later in the season.
