The GIANTS have added five players to this week's extended squad, with star defender Sam Taylor headlining the list of potential inclusions for Sunday’s showdown with the Demons in Alice Springs. 

Taylor, who is pushing to play his first AFL game of the year following a high-grade hamstring strain suffered on the eve of the season, is joined in the 26-man squad by Lachie Whitfield, Leek Aleer, Harry Rowston, and Joey Delana. 

The GIANTS are set to make at least two changes to their side this week, with Jack Buckley missing through a hamstring injury while Jake Riccardi had surgery today to fix the syndesmosis injury discovered on an MRI scan earlier this week.  

The GIANTS will name their final 23-man side on Friday at 5pm.
