The GIANTS are proud to partner with AirTrunk in a community-focused collaboration designed to strengthen the impact of the GIANTS Community Centre, creating pathways for people across Western Sydney to further unlock greater opportunities, realise their potential, and thrive.
The five-year partnership brings together two organisations deeply committed to innovation, growth and meaningful community impact across Western Sydney.
AirTrunk - a leading Asia-Pacific & Middle East hyperscale data centre specialist - will become the naming rights partner of the GIANTS’ community and training facility, to be known as the AirTrunk Community Centre.
The AirTrunk Community Centre stands at the heart of the GIANTS’ connection to community. Each year, the doors open to more than 10,000 participants through programs designed to inspire, connect and create lasting social impact across Western Sydney.
From school engagement and multicultural initiatives to female participation pathways, leadership programs, business engagement opportunities and inclusion initiatives, the GIANTS’ community programs continue to play a vital role in bringing people together and strengthening local connections.
As part of this partnership, AirTrunk will support two community programs designed to inspire the next generation of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) innovators and leaders. Through hands-on workshops, mentoring and student showcases, the programs will engage more than 1,000 secondary school students, building confidence, leadership skills and exposure to STEM education and future career pathways.
Business Built by GIANTS gives year 9 students interested in entrepreneurship, business and STEM careers the opportunity to participate in mentoring sessions, industry presentations and workshops where they develop and pitch a social enterprise business idea.
Leadership Isn’t Rocket Science uses hands-on science experiments and GIANTS training activities to demonstrate how STEM supports high-performance sport and leadership, while helping students build teamwork, problem-solving and leadership skills.
GIANTS Chief Executive Officer David Matthews said the partnership represented a strong alignment between two organisations committed to performance, innovation and community impact.
“We’re incredibly proud to welcome AirTrunk to the GIANTS family through this significant long-term partnership,” Matthews said.
“AirTrunk is a global leader in its field, but just as importantly, it shares our commitment to creating meaningful opportunities and lasting positive impact across Western Sydney.
“The AirTrunk Community Centre is much more than a training facility - it’s a place where thousands of people connect through sport, education, leadership and inclusion programs each year.
“To partner with an organisation that understands the importance of community connection and future growth makes this a natural and exciting fit for the GIANTS.”
Founded in Western Sydney in 2015, AirTrunk has a long history in the region and a deep connection to the communities where it began and continues to grow. That commitment extends beyond local jobs and supply chain investment to long‑term initiatives in renewables, including battery energy storage systems (BESS), and water recycling, ensuring growth is sustainable as well as inclusive.
AirTrunk Founder and CEO Robin Khuda said the organisation is proud to support a community hub that reflects its Western Sydney roots.
“The vision of the GIANTS Community Centre stood out to us immediately: a well-established local hub where people from all walks of life can come together, learn new skills and feel part of something special.
“Western Sydney is an incredibly important part of Australia, and we’re passionate about supporting people from the area get exposed to new opportunities and reach their potential.”
