Essendon defender Jayden Laverde has informed the GIANTS of his desire to join the club.

The 29-year-old, who was originally drafted with pick 20 in the 2014 AFL National Draft, played 145 games for the Bombers since his debut in round 15, 2015.

“We’re delighted that Jayden has decided to join the club as he’ll add a host of experience as well as depth to our key defensive stocks,” GIANTS Executive General Manager of Football, Jason McCartney, said.

Laverde will officially join the GIANTS after the AFL Draft in late November.
