The GIANTS have been bolstered by three huge inclusions for Friday’s blockbuster Sydney Derby, welcoming back Coleman Medallist Jesse Hogan, All Australian Sam Taylor, and two-time club champion Josh Kelly.
Hogan and Kelly will face the Swans after being managed last week off a short break, while Taylor will return to face the crosstown rival after missing the last five weeks with a fractured toe.
The star-studded trio return as the GIANTS look to continue their surge towards September following five straight wins ahead of Friday’s mouthwatering clash with the Swans.
Hogan, Taylor, and Kelly return to the side in place of Leek Aleer (rested), Max Gruzewski, and Harry Rowston (omitted).
Friday’s Derby is shaping as one of the biggest in years with massive finals implications on the line, where the GIANTS look to further cement their place in a crowded top eight, and the Swans play a must win game in order to keep their finals dreams alive.
Both teams will enter Sydney Derby XXXI in red hot form, with the GIANTS having won five straight, while the Swans have won three in a row and five of their last six to set up an epic encounter in what is the first-ever Friday night Derby at ENGIE Stadium.
With more than just bragging rights on the line, the Battle of the Bridge will get under way from 7:50pm on Friday night.
