Exciting small forward Brent Daniels is on track to make his long-awaited return this Saturday, when the GIANTS host the Power at Corroboree Group Oval Manuka.

Daniels last played in the club's round four win over the Eagles but has been sidelined for the past eight weeks with what was described as a unique abdominal injury.

Midfielder Finn Callaghan is tracking ahead of schedule in his return to play timeline. The 22-year-old will continue to build up his contact training this week as he aims for a return in one to two weeks.

Key forward Jake Stringer is progressing on a similar timeline to Callaghan and aiming for a return in coming weeks.

After being managed last week, further assessment has sidelined Phoenix Gothard for one to two weeks with an adductor injury. Jack Ough will also miss the next two to three weeks as he looks to overcome a persistent shoulder issue.

Meanwhile, number one ruck Kieren Briggs will miss up to three weeks, as he manages an ongoing ankle issue.

As communicated previously, Callan Ward will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL, while Ollie Hannaford will miss the next 8-12 weeks with a syndesmosis injury.

The GIANTS will take on the Power at Corroboree Group Oval Manuka on Saturday evening, while the VFL side will host the Northern Bullants at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday morning.
