The GIANTS and the ACT Government are proud to announce a new landmark partnership with Corroboree Group, as the new naming rights partner for their home ground in the Nation’s capital.
Known as Manuka Oval, the new naming rights agreement will see the venue rebranded to Corroboree Group Manuka Oval across AFL and AFLW for the next three years.
The GIANTS have a long and important history in the nation’s capital, with the club committed to playing three AFL games and two AFLW games per season.
The designation comes into effect ahead of the club’s first Toyota AFL Premiership season game against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday, April 26.
Established in 2015, Corroboree Group is a majority Indigenous-owned and operated collective of organisations with a strong presence in the Canberra region, built on over 25 years of local experience.
Committed to creating meaningful and lasting change, Corroboree Group delivers sustainable employment pathways through its flagship Indigenous Pathways to Employment Program (IPEP). This self-funded initiative provides tailored mentoring, training, and support to empower Indigenous Australians into long-term careers. Through IPEP and a range of grassroots education and support programs, Corroboree Group continues to drive economic empowerment and community-led growth across the region.
GIANTS Chief Executive Officer David Matthews said the club was thrilled to welcome the Corroboree Group as the new naming rights partner for Manuka Oval.
“We’re incredibly proud to partner with the Corroboree Group and officially welcome fans to the newly named venue ahead of another exciting season of football in the nation’s capital,” Mr Matthews said.
“This partnership goes far beyond naming rights – it's about aligning with an organisation that shares our values and is committed to creating real, lasting impact in Indigenous communities right across Australia.
“Our match days in Canberra are some of the best in the competition, and with the Corroboree Group’s support, we look forward to delivering even more memorable experiences for our fans — while helping shine a spotlight on Indigenous culture, talent and opportunity.”
Corroboree Group CEO, Jim Andriopoulos said he is delighted to partner with the ACT Government and the GIANTS to bring Corroboree Group Manuka Oval to life.
“As a local majority Indigenous owned and operated organisation with deep roots in the Canberra region, this partnership is about more than a name on a stadium – it’s a shared commitment to our community.
“Together, we’re creating real opportunities for Indigenous employment, supporting grassroots programs, and celebrating culture through sport.
“This partnership allows us to deliver even greater impact at a local level, and we’re excited to stand alongside the GIANTS and the ACT Government in supporting the region we call home”.
Chief Minister of the ACT, Andrew Barr added:
"It’s fantastic to see a company whose work across the Canberra region supports long-term Indigenous employment coming on board as a naming rights oval sponsor for GIANTS AFL and AFLW matches.”
The GIANTS will play their first of five fixtures at Corroboree Group Manuka Oval this Saturday, when they host the Western Bulldogs in an ANZAC Appeal match.
Tickets for Saturday’s match are available via Ticketek.
