Three AFL-listed GIANTS will play their first games of the season on Saturday, with Phoenix Gothard, Ryan Angwin and Josh Fahey all returning to action in the VFL against Casey as the GIANTS look to continue their unbeaten start to the VFL season.

The clash will be the AFL trio’s first official hit-out of 2025, with Gothard (finger), Angwin (ankle), and Fahey (foot) all fit for action after overcoming their respective injuries which delayed the start to their seasons.

The trio bolster an already strong VFL side which will feature 16 AFL-listed GIANTS on Saturday as the side aims to make it three straight wins to start the season after strong victories over Williamstown and Sandringham in their first two games.

Tough small forward James Lugsdin also comes into the side to take on the Demons in what will be his GIANTS VFL debut after crossing over from the Swans in the summer.

Exiting the VFL side that beat Sandringham prior to last week’s league-wide bye is Toby McMullin, Harvey Thomas, and Callum Brown for AFL duties, while Perry Lewis-Smith is out with concussion.

The GIANTS and the Demons, who have one win, one loss, and one draw so far in 2025, will face off at 11:05am on Saturday morning at Casey Fields.
