Jeremy Laidler was another new piece that joined the GIANTS ahead of the 2023 season as part of Adam Kingsley’s new-look coaching group.

The club’s forward line coach, Laidler joined the GIANTS following a nine-year playing career followed by a long stint as the Swans VFL head coach.

Drafted by Geelong with pick 32 in the 2008 Rookie Draft, Laidler played two games with the Cats before being traded to Carlton in 2010 and then making his way to the Swans in 2013.

Laidler played 87 games during his time in the AFL, kicking eight goals along the way before announcing his retirement at the end of the 2017 season.

Following his playing career, Laidler took up a position as development coach with the Swans before spending five years as the club’s VFL head coach prior to joining the GIANTS.
