Hogan has established himself as one of the league’s most dominant key forwards since joining the club from the Dockers ahead of the 2021 AFL season. Originally drafted by Melbourne in 2012, Hogan played for the Demons and then the Dockers across eight seasons, kicking 170 goals in 90 games before joining the GIANTS. Hogan has taken his game to new heights since the move to Sydney, booting 227 goals in 91 games for the GIANTS. Hogan put forward a career-best year in 2024 to claim his first Kevin Sheedy Medal, his first All-Australian blazer and his first Coleman Medal after a dominant career-best 69-goal home and away season. Terrorising opposition backlines, Hogan ruled the airways with a massive league-leading 65 contested marks as well as a league-leading 102 marks inside 50. Including finals, Hogan finished the 2024 season with 77 goals in a dominant showing. He was also jointly named the GIANTS’ 2024 Best Finals Player [tied with Tom Green and Jack Buckley] after huge performances against the Swans and the Lions. Despite battling a persistent foot injury in 2025, Hogan still managed to lead the GIANTS’ goalkicking tally once again with 46 majors from just 15 games. Following off-season foot surgery, Hogan will be hoping to return to his damaging best in 2026.
