The GIANTS will take on the Demons at the MCG at 1.45pm on Saturday, July 3.

It’ll see the GIANTS have a six day break after the match against Hawthorn, but travel shouldn’t be an issue with the club expecting to stay based in Melbourne for the entirety of next week due to the COVID situation in Sydney.

Last time the GIANTS played Melbourne was in Canberra in round 3 earlier this season.

The GIANTS got off to a hot start, booting five first quarter goals but a number of injuries to senior players in the second term allowed the Demons to run away with a 34-point victory.

It’ll be a rare occasion when the GIANTS play back to back games at the MCG; the only other occasion was during the memorable 2019 finals series.

The Demons will also be playing at the 'G in consecutive weeks with the top of the table side facing Essendon at the same venue on Saturday night of Round 15.

The AFL hopes to reveal the fixtures for Round 17 next week.
