Jake Riccardi has turned his back on rival club offers to commit to the orange and charcoal for a further four years.

After strong speculation surrounding his future this off-season, the 198cm key forward has put the speculation to rest, reaffirming his faith in the direction of the club by putting pen to paper on a long-term extension.

Riccardi’s decision comes following a limited but promising 2026 campaign, in which he not only continued to display his impact as a key forward but his versatility as an alternative ruck option.

Restricted to just nine games in 2026 due to a syndesmosis injury, Riccardi still produced several promising performances, hitting the scoreboard in seven of his nine matches, including kicking multiple majors in five of those, highlighted by three-goal hauls against the Hawks in Opening Round and the Swans in round five. 

The 26-year-old’s commitment provides further stability to the club’s young and exciting forward line, with Riccardi set to play an important role in the orange and charcoal moving forward.

GIANTS Executive General Manager, Jason McCartney, said he was delighted to secure Riccardi’s signature.
