The GIANTS can confirm ruckman Shane Mumford has been nominated for the Four'N Twenty Mark of the Year.

The club understands the incident took place late in the fourth quarter of the GIANTS win over West Coast.

Subsequent testing has revealed Mumford recorded a personal best velocity during the event.

GIANTS Coach Leon Cameron expressed his shock at the event:

"When I saw the mark I almost fell off my chair," Cameron said.

"I spoke with him (Mumford) post game and he told me he thought you won a Four'N Twenty pie, and that was his incentive.

"Unfortunately for everyone associated with the GIANTS, he'll be talking about this mark for the next 10 years."

The GIANTS will make no further comment at this time other than to encourage all GIANTS fans to get behind Mummy, because who wouldn’t want to see this tremendous effort named Mark of the Year.
