A handful of the GIANTS’ AFLW stars of the past, present and future will play in local league Grand Finals this weekend.

The AFL Sydney decider on Saturday will see there Manly Warringah Wolves clash with the Inner West Magpies while in Canberra the Queanbeyan Tigers and the Belconnen Magpies will do battle.

The Manly side will feature Emily Goodsir and Lisa Steane while Erin McKinnon (injured) and new GIANT Libby Graham (suspended) will be cheering from the sidelines.

They’ll be up against revitalised forward Rebecca Privitelli who’s playing for the Magpies.

AFLW fans will recognise a number of faces on both sides with Isabella Rudolph, Lael Kassem, Melissa Freckleton and a number of others having been involved with the elite program in recent years.

The Wolves finished the regular season on top of the ladder having lost only one game and the Magpies have climbed up from fifth place on the back of three straight finals victories.

In their one previous meeting this year, Manly Warringah won by five goals.

The AFL Sydney Women’s Premier Division Grand Final will be played at Kanebridge Oval at 1.45pm on Saturday, October 10.

Emily Pease and Tarni Evans join the GIANTS via the NAB AFLW Draft.

In Canberra, the stars of tomorrow will go head to head with pick 29 Emily Pease and the Magpies up against the Tigers featuring pick nine Tarni Evans.

It’s been a big week for the duo who were drafted to the GIANTS on Tuesday night.

Former GIANTS Maggie Graham, Hannah Wallett and Ella Ross will also be part of the action.

The AFL Canberra women’s Grand Final will be played at Gungahlin at 6.30pm, Saturday October 10.
