The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS head into this Sunday's match against the Adelaide Crows bolstered by the return of some big names from injury.

Tom Scully, Luke Power, Israel Folau and Dean Brogan headline a list of eight GIANTS named as inclusions into the 25-man squad for Sunday's clash at SKODA Stadium.

Twenty-five year old Steve Clifton will make his long awaited AFL debut, making him the 31st GIANT to do so.

A three-time VFL premiership player and best and fairest winner with North Ballarat, Clifton was taken by the GIANTS with the first pick in the 2010 AFL Rookie Draft. After an impressive year in the NEAFL, Clifton was elevated to the senior list at the end of 2011.

Kurt Aylett is also in the mix to make his AFL debut after being named on the extended seven-man bench.

Originally from Leeton, Aylett was one of the first players to sign with the GIANTS as a NSW Zone selection. Aylett had an outstanding season in the NEAFL in 2011 before unfortunately rupturing his ACL in round 19, undergoing a full knee reconstruction.

Tim Mohr, Tom Bugg, Adam Tomlinson and Andrew Phillips have all been omitted while James McDonald has been rested.

Head Coach Kevin Sheedy said that the GIANTS were disappointed with their performance last week and had subsequently made a number of changes ahead of the Crows clash.

"Our performance last week wasn't a great one and we weren't happy. We needed to let a few boys know so we've dropped a couple of players and we'll also rest a few," said Sheedy.

"Thankfully we have some big inclusions to welcome back with Folau, Scully and Power all making their return from the injury list.

"This will be the first time I've had Patton, Folau and Cameron all working together so we're looking forward to seeing how that plays out.

"Steve Clifton comes in for his first game which is fantastic, he deserves it. He's been working hard to get this opportunity for a number of years. When we announced the team they all clapped and cheered. It was a pretty exciting sort of selection.

"He's been here for two years to help build this footy club. He's been out with injuries and when he just about got into the senior side, he unfortunately injured himself again."
