Key defender Lachlan Keeffe, forward Daniel Lloyd and wingman Tommy Sheridan return to the GIANTS side to take on Hawthorn at GIANTS Stadium on Sunday evening.

As revealed during Thursday night’s squad selection, Zac Williams (hamstring) and Sam Taylor (back) will miss this week’s clash with injury.

Callan Ward was withdrawn from the team on Saturday with soreness with Tommy Sheridan to replace him in the selected side and play his first game for the season. Zac Langdon comes in as an emergency.

Journeyman Keeffe will play his first game of the season after playing 10 games for the club last year, including a starring role in the Preliminary Final.

The 30-year-old has been in consistent form across the club’s practice matches against the Swans and looks likely to slot into a key defensive post with Taylor missing.

Fellow defender Phil Davis has also been named in the side after overcoming hamstring tightness, which saw him not risked for the final quarter of last week’s epic win over the Magpies.

Lloyd comes back into the side after being omitted for last week’s clash but playing in the opening three rounds of the season.

He was close to best on ground in last week’s practice match, playing as an inside midfielder and impressing with his run and ball use.

The GIANTS will take on the Hawks in a Sunday night clash at GIANTS Stadium with the first bounce at 6:10pm.
