Shane Mumford will play his first game for the 2020 season as one of four changes to the GIANTS’ line-up.

Mumford comes in for Friday night’s clash against Collingwood at GIANTS Stadium with Toby Greene and Josh Kelly also declared fit.

Youngster Tom Green will also return to the GIANTS midfield for his second game.

Mumford replaces Sam Jacobs, who played the opening three games of the season since crossing from the Crows in the off-season.

“We’ve made the ruck change with Mumford in,” Cameron said.

"He gets his first run fo the year. We know it’s a huge challenge against Brodie Grundy.

“Sam is disappointed he’s gone out of the team but he understands his last two weeks need to be better.

“Grundy’s such a good player, he plays 100 per cent of the game basically but ‘Mummy’s’ strength is that he hunts after the footy.

“Everyone’s going to have their different strengths and that’s what we feel as though Mummy can provide this weekend.

"We need to hunt after the footy, we’ve lost a little bit of that hunt and we need to be prepared for that.”

Toby Greene (knee) and Josh Kelly (calf) return after missing last week’s clash with the Bulldogs with minor complaints which Lachie Whitfield and Brent Daniels have recovered from concussions sustained in last week’s match.

“They’ve all been through the appropriate tests and they’re ready to go,” Cameron said.

“Whitfield and Daniels both passed their concussion tests and it’s a credit to their recovery.

“All those guys have put their hands up and they know when they pick themselves they have to be ready to go the distance.”

Last year’s number 10 draft pick Tom Green has forced his way back into the line-up after making his debut on round one.

“He gets an opportunity inside and we need to make sure our contested ball is intact by the end of the night,” Cameron said.

“He’s been in-form, he’s trained really well, he has a healthy appetite to compete.

“We know we’re coming up against some big mids and some quality mids every which way you look at it and this is a great opportunity for young Tom.”

Cameron said his side are relishing the prospect of coming up against one of the in-form teams in the competition.

“It’s fantastic, there’ll be lots of eyes watching this game and again, we need to get back to playing a good brand of footy,” he said.

“Collingwood are clearly in rhythm and they’ve hit the ground running since the re-start and we’ve been the opposite.

“The urgency stakes lift and we’re looking forward to a good battle.”

Friday night footy will be show live into NSW and the ACT on 7mate and nationally on the Seven Network and Fox Footy / Kayo Sports.
