The GIANTS will return to the MCG in Round seven to take on Richmond.

The GIANTS will head to the MCG for the first time this year in Round seven when they face off with the Richmond Tigers.

The AFL has today announced the Round seven fixture with the MCG showdown on Sunday, July 19 sure to be one of the most hotly contested games of the season.

Coincidentally, this Grand Final rematch was originally scheduled to also take place in Round seven at the same venue before the COVID-19 shutdown.

The Tigers were far too good for the GIANTS on Grand Final day and after slow returns after the shutdown, both clubs will be priming themselves for this much anticipated clash.

The Tigers game will take place seven days after the GIANTS take on Port Adelaide on the Gold Coast in Round six.

The road ahead:

Round four: GIANTS v Collingwood @ GIANTS Stadium, Friday June 26 @ 7.50pm

Round five: GIANTS v Hawthorn @ GIANTS Stadium, Sunday July 5 at 6.10pm

Round six: Port Adelaide v GIANTS @ Metricon Stadium, Sunday July 12 at 1.05pm

Round seven: Richmond v GIANTS @ MCG, Sunday July 19 @ 3.35pm
