Elle Bennetts smiles for the camera after playing a key role in the GIANTS' win over West Coast.

Elle Bennetts, Alyce Parker and Rebecca Privitelli have been rewarded for their standout performances in the GIANTS’ AFL Women’s win over West Coast on Sunday.

The trio each received eight votes in the AFL Coaches Association’s AFLW Champion player of the year award and were named in the womens.afl Team of the Week.

Bennetts was superb along half-back for the GIANTS in their 28-point win over the Eagles, racking up 11 disposals and taking six crucial marks.

Sunday’s game was Bennetts’ second in the backline for 2020, but the cross-coder showed she is far from out of position, playing a key role in the win.

Young-gun Alyce Parker again notched up a 20-plus disposal game, with the second-year GIANT collecting 22 touches and taking three marks in a composed midfield display.

The 19-year-old displayed composure beyond her years as she helped drive the GIANTS into attack at Blacktown International Sportspark.

Privitelli’s three-goal haul was the difference for the GIANTS in their second win of the season.

The defender-turned-forward flew for every aerial contest up forward on Sunday, taking four marks and bringing countless balls to ground for the GIANTS’ small forwards. Privitelli also found the football 13 times in a dominant forward display.

Rebecca Beeson (two votes), Britt Tully (one vote) and Alicia Eva (one vote) were also recognised by the coaches for their efforts in the GIANTS’ win.

Meanwhile, forward Haneen Zreika has been nominated for the round three Coates Hire Goal of the Year.

Zreika’s toe-poke under pressure on the edge of the goal square early in the final quarter not only sealed the GIANTS’ win, but added another impressive contribution to the youngster’s highlight reel.

To help Zreika be named the round three winner, fans can vote once per day by searching AFLW Vote on Google.
