The GIANTS have named a strong 24-player squad to take on the Brisbane Lions in a practice match at Tom Wills Oval on Sunday.

New GIANTS Annalyse Lister, Lisa Steane, Emily Goodsir and Sarah Halvorsen have been given the opportunity to stake their claim for a round one debut while Rebecca Privitelli will line up in the forward line as she looks to make her return to the AFL Women’s competition.

Jess Allan will play her first game for the GIANTS in Sydney and is one of three rucks named in the squad with 2018 All Australian Erin McKinnon and second-year GIANT Ingrid Nielsen also set to feature.

With the round one clash against the Gold Coast Suns at Blacktown International SporstsPark on Saturday, February 8 a fortnight away, Sunday’s practice match is the GIANTS’ final chance to test themselves against AFLW opposition ahead of the season proper.

GIANTS members and fans can attend the match at Tom Wills Oval, Sydney Olympic Park with gates opening at 8:45am before the game starts at 9am. Entry is free and parking is available next door in P3.

GIANTS Media will also live-stream the game across their Facebook and YouTube channels from 9am.
