Sunscreen and budgie smugglers were the order of the day as the GIANTS hit the beach on day two of their training camp in Noosa.

But there was no time to relax for the players as they took to the water and the sand during another gruelling training session in hot and humid conditions.

As locals looked on, the players broke up into four teams for a series of challenges which involved surf ski races and crab races along the main beach of Noosa.

Afterwards the players and football staff enjoyed a BBQ lunch courtesy of the Noosa Surf Club.

Head Coach Leon Cameron said he was pleased with the intensity of the players but also their morale level.

"The main reason was to get away with our new group," he said of the week long training camp on the Sunshine Coast.

"It was about finishing off the first part of our pre-season with some really hard work training in the heat. The other main reason was to bond together and spend quality time not just during the day but night time as well and we're achieving that so far."
