Co-captain Phil Davis remains a test to take on the Swans on Saturday night at the SCG while star forward Toby Greene will make his return in Sydney Derby XVII.

Davis suffered a rolled ankle after catching the boot of Nat Fyfe late in the GIANTS’ loss to Fremantle last Saturday but was cleared of any major damage following the game.

“He’s pulled up pretty well and there is no major structural damage which is great,” said General Manager Football Wayne Campbell on the Westfund Rehab Report.

“He’s got a bit of swelling still there. He’s progressing really well but we’ll just wait until the end of the week to see how he pulls up and whether he’ll play this Saturday night.”

Forward Toby Greene is officially off the injury list and looks set to take on the Swans in his first game since suffering calf soreness following round one.

“He’s done a solid block of training,” said Campbell.

“We initially thought it was only going to be a couple of weeks but he had some mild awareness through it and we were conservative with him but he’ll run out this Saturday night against the Swans.”

In further good news, fellow forward Zac Langdon will return to the field after overcoming a pre-season lisfranc injury.

The second-year GIANT will line up in the NEAFL for the first time in his short career and is set to play the full match.

“It’s been a solid six to eight weeks now since he (Zac) has played footy," Cambpell said.

“He’s back this weekend in the NEAFL and looks fit and has been training well.

“This is after Bobby Hill played last week in the NEAFL as well so we get some small forwards back with the three of them in Hill, Greene and Langdon all playing over the last couple of weeks. It gives us a bit more depth through that area of the ground.”

Midfielder Harry Perryman is also expected to complete a full week of training this week with a return to playing set for the following weekend after a heavy collision in round one has sidelined the 20 year old.

The GIANTS take on the Swans at the SCG on Saturday night.
