Exciting young ruck prospect Logan Smith will play his first game of the season as one of two inclusions to the GIANTS’ VFL side this weekend.

Smith will take his place against the Hawks in Box Hill on Saturday after being given the all clear following his troubles with patella tendinopathy.

The 19-year-old has trained strongly in recent weeks and responded well to treatment and will now feature in his first game of the season.

The GIANTS Academy product is joined in this week’s side by local Cameron Edwards who returns for his sixth game of the season.

The pair enter the team in place of Harry Oliver (AFL) and Jerome Lawrence (omitted).

Nine AFL-listed GIANTS will feature in Saturday’s VFL clash which will see the second-placed Hawks host the fifth-placed GIANTS at Box Hill City Oval.
