The GIANTS have made just one change for Saturday’s big clash with the Blues at ENGIE Stadium, with former skipper Stephen Coniglio entering the side.

Coniglio regains his place in the team after two weeks on the sidelines recovering from a low-grade hamstring strain suffered in round 12 against the Demons in Alice Springs.

The 32-year-old successfully got through Thursday's main training and will take his place in Adam Kingsley’s lineup against a Carlton side riding a four-game winning streak.

Coniglio comes into the team in place of the injured Toby McMullin.

After a close loss on the road to the Saints last week, the GIANTS be hoping to return to the brilliant recent form which saw them register impressive wins over the Lions and the Demons prior to the St Kilda defeat.

With both sides sitting just out a Wildcard spot, Saturday shapes as a crucial clash in the context of both side’s finals aspirations.

The important encounter also has extra meaning to the GIANTS outside of the four points, with the club using Saturday’s clash as its Cultural Heritage Series game used to celebrate the cultural diversity of the Western Sydney community.

The big game gets under way at 4:15pm on Saturday.
