Massive Saturday twilight fixtures against the Swans and the Cats in Sydney as well as two family friendly timeslots in Canberra headline the club’s remaining AFL fixture in the back half of the 2026 AFL season.
On Thursday the AFL confirmed the dates and times for all club’s games for rounds 16-22 as part of a staggered schedule that enables the League to place more blockbuster games in marquee timeslots.
The newly released fixture means the GIANTS will push for their ninth finals campaign in the past 11 seasons with a host of exciting home games against fellow finals contenders as well as a Friday night blockbuster at the MCG.
First up in Thursday’s announcement is a massive round 16 clash which will see the GIANTS take centre stage on Friday night footy in a blockbuster matchup with the Hawks at the MCG on Friday, June 26.
In round 17 the GIANTS will treat the nation’s capital to a huge fixture with fellow finals contender Fremantle in the family-friendly timeslot of 1:35pm on Saturday, July 4.
Members of the Orange Army will also get a chance to get up close and personal with their favourite GIANTS ahead of the Canberra clash against the Dockers, with the club to hold a combined AFL and AFLW training session alongside a special Fan Day at Corroboree Group Oval, Manuka on Friday July 3.
The string of big big games continue in round 18 when the GIANTS return to Sydney to host last year’s grand finalists, Geelong, in a huge Saturday twilight fixture at ENGIE Stadium.
After giving their Victorian fans, a chance to watch the action up close and personal in a meeting with the Bombers at Marvel Stadium in round 19 on Sunday, July 19, the GIANTS will return home for one of their biggest games of the season: the Sydney Derby.
Taking place in round 20, all eyes will turn to ENGIE Stadium on Saturday, July 25 as the GIANTS and the Swans add what’s sure to be another fiery chapter to the Battle of the Bridge.
Looking to continue their finals push, the GIANTS will aim to cut the Power out in Adelaide on a Saturday night in round 21 before their third and final game in Canberra for the season features a must-see Expansion Cup clash with the Gold Coast Suns on Sunday, August 9 at 1:10pm at Corroboree Group Oval, Manuka.

Turning the attention to this weekend, the GIANTS will head west to take on the Eagles at Optus Stadium as the club debuts its 2026 Indigenous Jumper to celebrate Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
Following that the GIANTS will return home for a massive game against the reigning back-to-back premiers, the Brisbane Lions, on Sunday, May 24 at ENGIE Stadium.
