A timeline has been set for exciting young forward Darcy Jones, with the speedster set to return to full team training next week.
Jones suffered an ACL tear in the club’s Elimination Final in September last year and this week has completed his final rehabilitation test and has been cleared to join the main group in full contract training.
Cody Angove and Sam Taylor are also edging closer to their return following pre-season hamstring injuries, with the duo both re-loading their training minutes in full team training.
Harry Rowston will miss a couple of weeks of footy following an infection in his knee.
Midfielder Xavier O’Halloran has successfully undergone surgery on his ankle following a syndesmosis injury. The 25-year-old will be non-weight bearing for the next week, with a timeline on his return set to be determined in the coming weeks.
Logan Smith underwent intervention on his ongoing knee soreness and will begin re-loading his training demands.
Meanwhile, Ryan Angwin (concussion protocols) and Jesse Hogan (hip) will both be a test to return this week, with their availability to be determined following Friday’s main training.
The GIANTS will travel to Perth this weekend to take on Waalitj Marawar on Sunday afternoon.
