The GIANTS celebrated the festive season with their adoring fans and members, holding a Christmas Party at Giants Headquarters on Saturday morning.
Fans got to spend a few hours chatting to their heroes, having a kick around, getting tattoos and sharing a bbq on a bright and sunny day over looking Tom Wills Oval.
Jesse Hogan, Connor Idun and Toby Greene were probably the most popular, while local boys Joey Delana and Kieren Briggs were also requested for several photos.
Raj, aged 14 from Liverpool, was thrilled to meet Stephen Coniglio and have a chat about footy.
“I met Stephen when I played with my school last year, so it was nice to see him again and talk about the GIANTS,” he said.
“He is always nice and friendly and easy to talk to. I would love to play for the GIANTS one day and help them win a trophy.”
Santa even made an appearance and proved as popular among the parents as the kids. There were plenty of give aways as well with caps, hats, scarves and plenty of lollies up for grabs.
Stephanie, aged 10 from Parramatta, had her photo taken with Santa as well as Connor Idun and Harry Himmelberg.
“Meeting Connor was the highlight, but Harry and Santa were cool too,” she said.
“I hope to get a GIANTS football for Christmas and a new jersey as well to wear to games next year.”
Some of the kids and parents even decided to have a kick to kick on the main Oval, with many snapping goals from all different angles, showing there were some future GIANTS among the revellers.
The Christmas Party is annual event that is put together by the GIANTS to thank their members and fans for their support throughout the year.
The GIANTS and their fans will be hoping for next year’s festivities to start early in September, and with team looking in great shape, there is every reason to believe Christmas will come early in 2026.
