Walker headlines two inclusions for the team to take on Kuwarna in round three, the GIANTS’ first match at their Sydney home of Henson Park for 2025.

The former Blues defender joined the GIANTS in 2023, after 31-games at Carlton before she sustained an ACL injury that ruled her out of the team’s 2024 campaign.

A versatile and hard-working defender that can slingshot the team forward with her agility and pace, Walker has showed immense resilience and dedication in her efforts to return to AFLW-level football and has been rewarded with selection after a strong showing at scrimmage level.

Walker joins Jess Doyle in her return to the side, after a minor stress fracture in the pre-season delayed her preparations for the 2025 season.

Doyle adds speed and pressure play to the GIANTS’ team, an important asset against a Kuwarna side who prefer to muscle the ball out of contests and a run-and-carry movement.

Irish recruit Grace Kos was unable to complete training through the week, following a minor strain in her knee during the round two loss to the Magpies.

The GIANTS will meet Kuwarna on Saturday for their first match in Sydney for 2025, at 1:05pm at Henson Park, Sydney – Gadigal Country.
