GIANTS youngster Daisy Walker is edging closer to a club debut, with the 23-year-old just weeks away from a return to play, following rehabilitation from an ACL that kept her out of the 2024 AFLW season.

The utility is likely to return to play via AFLW scrimmage matches, with an eye for rejoining teammates in scrimmage for round three.

Newcomer Viv Saad is also making strong progressions from the Achilles injury that saw her miss the entire 2024 campaign for the Gold Coast Suns.

Saad continues on a modified training schedule and will seek to return to AFLW level via scrimmage, pressing to return in September.

Both Isabel Huntington and Jessica Doyle have recovered well from minor injuries that made them unavailable for selection through the GIANTS pre-season series.

The GIANTS will kick off their AFLW season against the Bombers this weekend, in the first-ever meeting between the two sides at 5:35pm at Corroboree Group Oval, Manuka.
