Two big names will return to the GIANTS’ side for Saturday’s round one clash with the Kangaroos, with Harry Perryman and Finn Callaghan set to play their first games of the season.

The duo missed last weekend’s Opening Round win over the Magpies due to pre-season injuries but will enter Saturday’s side fresh and fit.

Perryman will resume his post in the GIANTS’ ever-reliable backline, with the 25-year-old set to insert his speed and grit back into the GIANTS’ line-up.

Meanwhile, Callaghan has proven his fitness at Thursday’s main training session to earn his spot in Saturday’s side.

Prior to a minor irritation to his shoulder last month, the exciting midfielder had been a standout for the GIANTS this pre-season, taking both his speed and size to the next level.

The young midfielder will combine with vice-captain Josh Kelly, who is set to bring up his 200th game when he runs out for the GIANTS on Saturday afternoon.

The 29-year-old will become the sixth player to reach 200 games for the club, joining Callan Ward, Stephen Coniglio, Lachie Whitfield, Toby Greene and Nick Haynes.

The GIANTS’ dynamic forward line will remain the same, with Callum Brown, Brent Daniels and Jesse Hogan looking for repeat performances after the trio scored 12 of the GIANTS’ 18 goals last week.

Young draftee Harvey Thomas has retained his spot in the side, with Toby McMullin (omitted) and Callan Ward (injured) the outs from last week’s match-winning side.

Ward is set to miss the next 6-8 weeks as he recovers from a shoulder injury sustained in the second quarter of last week’s Opening Round match. To view the GIANTS’ latest injury list, click here.

The match between the GIANTS and the Kangaroos will be played at ENGIE Stadium (formerly GIANTS Stadium) with first bounce to get underway at 4:35pm.

Tickets to this weekend’s game include entry and return public transport while the match will feature FREE Easter Show rides from when gates open. Kick-to-kick and an on-field signing session will also be held as part of the round one game day.

Saturday’s match will be shown live on Fox Footy and Kayo nationally from 4:20pm as well as live and free on 7mate in NSW and the ACT.
