The countdown to a huge 2024 AFL season is on and we want the orange army at its biggest as we finalise our preparations with a big pre-season clash against the Gold Coast Suns in Canberra.

After taking on the Swans in Sydney on Thursday, February 22 at Tramway Oval, the GIANTS will host the Suns in an exciting match-up at Manuka Oval on Thursday, February 29 at 7:10pm.

The club’s final hit-out before its blockbuster Opening Round clash with Collingwood on Saturday, March 9, the GIANTS are hoping to put on a show for our passionate fans in Canberra and we want you there to help propel us into a GIANT 2024 season.

With GIANTS members with 2024 AFL Premiership Season entry entitlements given free admission to the clash with the Suns, now is the perfect time for our Canberra-based GIANTS to join the orange army ahead of four huge games in Canberra in 2024.

With several Canberra memberships on offer, sign up today and choose a game access membership to guarantee yourself free entry to the GIANTS final pre-season match against the Suns.

Not only will the GIANTS take on the Suns in Canberra as a final tune-up for the official AFL season, but the orange and charcoal will have three GIANT home and away fixtures this year in the nation’s capital - including a game on one of the biggest days on the AFL calendar.

The GIANTS’ first official home and away fixture in Canberra this season will come in round five in a red-hot Saturday afternoon clash with fellow 2023 finalist St Kilda.

The match-up will be the first time the sides face off since the GIANTS ended the Saints’ 2023 season with a 24-point elimination final win over Ross Lyon’s men at the MCG.

Next up the GIANTS will host 2023 Grand Finalist Brisbane in a special ANZAC Day clash under the bright lights of Manuka Oval.

The blockbuster fixture will be just the second time the GIANTS have taken to the field on ANZAC Day following their 2015 match-up with Gold Coast in 2015.

The slate of Canberra fixtures will finish with a round 21 hit-out with the Hawks which whom the GIANTS had two epic battles with in season 2023, with just 15 points separating the sides across both games.

Since entering the league in 2012, the GIANTS have established themselves as Canberra’s team, playing at least three AFL Premiership Season games a season at the iconic Manuka Oval in addition to pre-season games and an AFLW Premiership Season match every year.

2024 GIANTS members with AFL Premiership Season entry entitlements receive free admission to the clash with the Suns on Thursday, February 29 by simply scanning in with their membership at Manuka Oval on match day, subject to capacity.

Kids under 15 will also get free entry to the game against the Suns as the orange tsunami rolls into Canberra for the GIANTS only official preseason match before we take on the ‘Pies in Sydney.
