Members Access

If you're a member, getting into the game is easy!

If you have a physical members card, simply have this ready for scanning on arrival at Manuka Oval. If you hold a digital ticket, download the GIANTS App and select 'My Tickets' in the menu at bottom on your screen! Then select ‘Rd 8: GWS GIANTS v Western Bulldogs. From here you'll be able to save your ticket to your wallet.

OPEN TRAINING SESSION

The GIANTS will hold an open training session at Manuka Oval on Friday ahead of the GIANTS’ round eight match against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night. 

The Captain’s Run will be held on Friday, May 5 from 3:15pm until 4:30pm (approx.). 

This is a great chance to get up close to your favourite GIANTS players including Stephen Coniglio, Josh Kelly, Callan Ward, Lachie Whitfield, Tom Green, Toby Greene and Harry Perryman. 

The session will take place at Manuka Oval as the players take part in a training session involving light skill work.

Member of the Match

The GIANTS are rewarding a lucky member each week for simply coming to the game!

GAME DAY ACTIVITIES 

Activations 

  • Get the Saturday night party started, with viral sensation DJ Sue taking over the decks at Manuka Oval.
  • Stop by the Toyo Tires team on game day at the precinct or at the inflatable tyre near the scoreboard to pick up your giveaway from Toyo Tires and to enter to WIN a family round trip to Hawaii!
  • On game day it's time to get on your feet and get moving for the Harvey Norman dance cam, powered by JBL. The best dance moves that we at the game will win a $100 Harvey Norman gift card! Make sure you’re in it to win it!

Fan Zone 

  • The GIANTS Fan Zone is in action at every home game season and is filled with loads of fun and FREE activities for all ages!
  • Test your kicking and netball skills at our GIANTS inflatables - We’ve got the GIANTS Big Kick and Netball inflatables.
  • We’ve also got face painting and airbrush tattoos available for free in the Fan Zone so make sure you deck yourself out in as much orange as possible to support your GIANTS.
  • Macca’s Kick 2 Kick is on after every game at Manuka Oval! Stick around after the final siren to get on the ground with Macca’s Kick 2 Kick.

GETTING THERE AND ACCESS

Bus:

Travel on all Transport Canberra services is free on game day to holders with a game ticket.

Have your game day ticket ready to present if requested by a bus driver or light rail Customer Service Officer. To plan your trip, type in Manuka Oval as your destination in the Transport Canberra journey planner: https://www.transport.act.gov.au/. You can use your entry ticket for your free return trip after the game.

Passengers are encouraged to take advantage of Park & Ride facilities where possible.

Car:

Parking is available in Telopea Park School grounds on behalf of the Rotary Club of Canberra Weston Creek from 5:30pm.

Parking is also available at Wesley Uniting Church, cnr Fitzroy St and National Circuit, Forrest.

The cost is $10 per vehicle credit card payment and is just a five-minute walk to Manuka Oval.

Gates to the car park will open at 6pm.

Disability Parking:

Disability parking is between Manuka Pool and the Manuka Arts Centre. Vehicles must display authorised permits.

Please note there are no direct shuttle buses from Civic to Manuka Oval.

MOST VALUABLE GIANT, PRESENTED BY TOYO TIRES

Vote for your Most Valuable GIANT! After our game on Saturday, GIANTS fans will be able to vote for their most valuable player in a 3, 2, 1 voting style. Vote via our Instagram story or on the GIANTS app - Click here to download it now. The overall winner of the Most Valuable GIANT - as chosen by you - will be awarded the trophy at this year’s Kevin Sheedy Medal.

TEAM SELECTION

The GIANTS will name their final team at 6:20pm on Thursday night at gwsgiants.com.au.

The VFL team will be named at 6pm on Friday night at gwsgiants.com.au.

BROADCAST

Saturday’s match will be shown live on Fox Footy and Kayo nationally and on 7Mate in NSW and the ACT from 7pm.
