Tom Green played a starring role in the GIANTS’ match simulation as the midfielder looks to lift his game to another level again in 2023.

Green started at the first centre bounce and spent the majority of the match playing on ball.

The 22-year-old wasn’t the only midfielder to impress, with Stephen Coniglio, Josh Kelly and Harry Perryman also dominant throughout the 60-minute contest.

After sitting out the second half of last season with a foot complaint, Finn Callaghan has put his injury troubles behind him, powering through today’s session and showcasing his penetrating left foot kick and burst of pace.

Recruit Toby Bedford looked at home on the half-forward line, impressing with his goal sense and speed.

Jesse Hogan was busy up forward, while Callan Ward also played forward and finished with two goals.

Harry Himmelberg, who spent time as a defender last season, was used in his customary role as a forward and also hit the scoreboard.

Lachie Ash won plenty of the ball across half-back, with new coach Adam Kingsley keen to use the speedster more as a running defender this season.

Nick Haynes was another to catch the eye, with the rebounding defender showcasing his brilliant best across half-back.

Jack Buckley and Brent Daniels produced impressive displays as they look to return to AFL action after long injury layoffs, with Phil Davis and Conor Stone also featuring in some of the session as they both return from injury.

Number one pick Aaron Cadman and defender Leek Aleer were other young GIANTS to highlight their improvement during the contest, while draftee Harry Rowston impressed while matching up on Josh Kelly through the midfield.
