The GIANTS have made two changes for a Saturday night blockbuster against Carlton, with a finals spot on the line.

Young ruck Kieren Briggs replaces Shane Mumford, who has been managed, while Toby Greene returns to the line up after serving a one-week suspension.

Rookie defender James Peatling has been omitted.

GIANTS coach Leon Cameron said:

“We look forward to welcome Toby back, we know the impact he can have.

“But equally we were really proud of the entire team last week and JP is probably a little unlucky to go out of the side.

“As I’ve said before, we know Mummy can’t keep backing up at his age so young Kieren Briggs will come in.

“It’s a huge challenge for him but we’re really confident he’ll come in and compete and it’s a great opportunity for him.

“It’s pretty much our third final in a row and we know there’s plenty on the line on Saturday night.

“I’m looking forward to a quality contest.

“We know Carlton will be looking to send Eddie Betts out in style, he’s had an incredible impact on our competition both on and off the field and he deserves all the accolades coming his way this week.”

The GIANTS will take on Carlton at 7:40pm on Saturday night at Marvel Stadium, live on 7mate across NSW and the ACT and on Kayo and Foxtel.
