The GIANTS have signed 21 of the best next-tier talent from Sydney and Canberra to play alongside our AFL listed players in the 2022 Victorian Football League (VFL). 

For the third consecutive year the club has used the competition to seek out talented players from across club’s Academy as well as AFL Sydney and AFL Canberra competitions.

The largest second-tier football competition in the country returns after two COVID-disrupted seasons and for the third-year running will feature teams from Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Wayne Cripps will head up the club’s VFL program as head coach in 2023, also working as a development coach across the AFL program.  

Cripps has worked with some of the best junior talent in the country, working most recently as the head coach of the Sandringham Dragons in the NAB League in 2022.
