The captain of the GIANTS AFLW side and the reigning club champion, Beeson endured a career-best season in 2024 after being voted in as skipper after Alicia Eva decided to step down from the role. A Sydney local and inaugural GIANT celebrating her 10th season at the club in 2025, Beeson is just the third captain in the club’s AFLW history, following Eva and inaugural captain Amanda Farrugia. Taken with pick 32 in the inaugural AFLW draft in 2016, Beeson quickly emerged as a young star of the competition and in her third season claimed the 2019 Gabrielle Trainor Medal as club champion. One of the GIANTS’ most influential players since, Beeson’s rise to captaincy is a remarkable story of perseverance after the tough and classy midfielder was forced to miss the entirety of season seven with concussion issues before returning with a bang in 2023. Hailing from the UNSW-ES Bulldogs in Sydney, Beeson finished equal-third in the 2023 Gabrielle Trainor Medal in a fantastic return to the field before taking it to another level in 2024 to claim her second Gabrielle Trainor Medal following a dominant season as a permanent midfielder. As tough as they come and full of composure, Beeson is a clean and skilful midfielder who will look to lead from the front once again in 2025.
