The captain of the GIANTS’ AFLW side and a two-time club champion, Beeson is an inaugural AFLW player and the heart of Cam Bernasconi’s side. A Sydney local taken with pick 32 in the inaugural AFLW Draft in 2016, Beeson quickly emerged as a young star of the competition and in her third season claimed the 2019 Gabrielle Trainor Medal as the GIANTS’ club champion. Just the club’s third AFLW captain, Beeson was voted in as skipper ahead of the 2024 season after long-time captain Alicia Eva stepped down from the role. Beeson excelled in the new role, enduring a career-best season in 2024 which saw her claim her second Gabrielle Trainor Medal. Beeson’s rise to captaincy is a remarkable story of perseverance after she was forced to miss the entirety of season seven with concussion issues before returning with a bang in 2023 to finish equal-third in the Gabrielle Trainor Medal. As tough as they come and full of composure, Beeson had another stellar campaign in 2025 to finish runner-up in the club champion award to rising star Zarlie Goldsworthy. Beeson will no doubt continue to lead from the front once again in 2026.
