Speedy defender Zac Williams will return to the GIANTS side for Sunday’s crucial clash with the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium.

Williams missed three weeks with a hamstring injury but now comes straight back into the side for forward Daniel Lloyd, who had surgery on a broken finger last Saturday.

GIANTS coach Leon Cameron welcomed Williams back into the team.

“Zac’s had a really good training block and is ready to come back in,” Cameron said.

“We know what he brings to our side and we’re really excited to have him run out tomorrow.”

Coach Cameron is under no illusions that the GIANTS face a tough task against an in-form Suns side.

“The Suns are flying at the moment and we know it will be a really big challenge for us,” Cameron said.

“They’re the number one pressure team in the competition and have been in really strong form.”

Across rounds 9-12 the team will be announced at 6:20pm the night before each game.

The GIANTS will take on the Suns at 3:35pm on Sunday at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast.
