Western Sydney was treated to a festival of football over the weekend with finals action descending on Blacktown International Sportspark.
 
Four Sydney AFL Divisional Grand Finals were contested on the Saturday, before a big crowd saw the Sydney AFL Premier Division Preliminary Final between the Pennant Hills Demons and the Balmain Dockers on Sunday.
 
Saturday’s action got underway with the Sydney AFL Division Five Grand Final between the UTS Bats and traditional rivals, Sydney University, which set the tone for the rest of the day with Sydney University getting home by just five points.
 
It was mixed results for the Western Sydney representatives on Grand Final day, with Penrith defeating Gosford in the Sydney AFL Division Three Grand Final
by 18 points, but Blacktown Magic went down to the UTS Bats in the Sydney AFL Division Three Grand Final.
 
Saturday’s action concluded with a heart stopping Division Two Grand Final between St George and UNSW/ES Bulldogs, which wasn’t decided until the final minute. After trailing all day the Dragons hit the front at the death to take the premiership by just four points.
 
In the big match of the weekend, the Balmain Dockers outlasted the Pennant Hills Demons and booked their place in this weekends Sydney AFL Premier Division Grand Final with a nine point win in the Sydney AFL Premier Division Preliminary Final.
 
The Dockers now move onto this Sunday’s Grand Final against the UNSW/ES Bulldogs at Blacktown International Sportspark.
