Tayla Davies will play her first AFLW game in 2020.

Taylah Davies will play her first AFL Women’s game in 2020, with the cross-coder named in the GIANTS’ squad to play Adelaide at Hisense Stadium in Adelaide on Sunday.

Davies, who debuted in the GIANTS’ round four 2019 win over Collingwood, has played two games for the GIANTS since joining the club as an other-sport rookie during the 2018 signing period.

The 25-year-old played for the NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball in the Suncorp Super Netball competition before taking up Australian Rules.

GIANTS captain Alicia Eva won’t play in the crunch clash against the Crows having failed to recover from a foot injury suffered in the round four loss to Brisbane.

Nicola Barr is the only confirmed out for the GIANTS after injuring her hamstring in the win over Richmond.

New South Wales products Emily Goodsir and Georgia Garnett are in line to make their AFLW debuts should they be named in the final team at 4pm on Friday.

Goodsir and Garnett, who were both drafted from AFL Sydney club East Coast Eagles, have been named on an extended interchange bench.
