Izzy Rudolph will make her AFL Women’s debut in the GIANTS’  final match of the season against the Western Bulldogs at UNSW Canberra Oval on Saturday Night.

The 21-year-old – who was selected by the GIANTS as a Free Agent from the Sydney University Bombers - is a highly skilled and creative forward with a knack for goal.

Rudolph’s inclusion in the side brings an end to 10 and a half months of watching on from the sidelines.

A serious knee injury during an exhibition match at the SCG in April 2016 not only derailed her season, but also threatened to stop her from playing in the inaugural AFLW competition.

Rudolph and defender Alex Saundry come into the GIANTS 22, replacing defender Kristy De Pelegrini and small forward Codie Briggs.

Saundry will play her fourth match of the season having last played in the GIANTS 34-point loss to the Brisbane Lions in round four.

The GIANTS take on the Western Bulldogs at UNSW Canberra Oval on Saturday, March 18 at 7:10pm with FREE entry.
