The AFL has confirmed the time and date for the GIANTS’ round 23 clash with Melbourne at the MCG. 

The potentially season-defining match will take place on Sunday, August 26 at 3:20pm. 

Both sides are currently in finals contention but could be fighting for either a place in the top four or a place in the top eight when they meet later next month.

The GIANTS play Carlton in Melbourne this Sunday, Adelaide at UNSW Canberra Oval (CLICK HERE to get your tickets) and the Swans in Sydney Derby XV at Spotless Stadium (CLICK HERE to get your tickets) while, Melbourne – who currently sit behind the GIANTS in sixth spot on the ladder - play Gold Coast, Sydney and West Coast.

The Sunday afternoon clash will be the GIANTS’ second game at the MCG in 2018 and their first match against Melbourne at the iconic stadium since round 1, 2016.
