The GIANTS have made one change for their first match of the season in the nation’s capital. 

Hometown hero Emily Pease has been named for her first game of the season. 

A welcomed inclusion for the side’s first of two fixtures at Corroboree Group Oval in Manuka, Canberra, Pease has been added to the round three team to help nullify Yartapuulti’s multipronged forward line. 

Pease’s inclusion adds further defensive nous and experience to the GIANTS line-up, with the Canberra product set to play in front of a familiar home crowd. Her ability to read the game and compete strongly in the air will be key as the GIANTS look to contain Yartapuulti’s dangerous forward threats. 

Pease enters the side in place of Daisy Walker, who has been omitted. 

The GIANTS will travel to Canberra this weekend to take on Yartapuulti on Sunday at 12:35pm.
