The GIANTS have farewelled forwards coach Brett Montgomery, with the experienced assistant coach departing following four seasons in orange and charcoal.

Montgomery joined the GIANTS ahead of the 2023 season, bringing more than a decade of AFL coaching experience and a decorated 204-game playing career.

The former Port Adelaide premiership player made a valuable contribution to the GIANTS’ football program during his time at the club, serving as both a defensive and forwards line coach.

Montgomery departs the GIANTS having made a valued contribution to the club, with his experience and knowledge playing an important role in the development of the club’s players.

GIANTS Executive General Manager of Football, Jason McCartney, thanked Montgomery for his contribution.

“Brett has been an important part of our coaching group over the past four seasons and we’re grateful for the contribution he has made during his time at the GIANTS,” McCartney said.

“We also want to recognise the commitment and sacrifices Brett and his family have made over that time, with Brett spending the past four seasons away from his family in South Australia.

“We wish Brett and his family all the best for the next chapter.”
