The GIANTS will be forced to make at least two changes this week with both Leek Aleer (ankle) and Ryan Angwin (concussion) set to miss Saturday’s fixture with the Bombers.
Angwin was ruled out of the remainder of Sunday’s match with the Suns during the third quarter, with the in-form midfielder suffering a concussion following a tackling incident.
Aleer was sent for scans on Monday following an ankle injury suffered in the opening quarter of the same game, with scans confirming a low-grade syndesmosis injury.
The 24-year-old will receive treatment on Wednesday, with the results of that procedure set to determine his return to play timelines. At this stage, Aleer is expected to miss 1-2 weeks.
A new injury management plan will be determined for Logan Smith, with the young ruck not able to advance in his reconditioning plan in recent weeks.
Cody Angove and Sam Taylor continue to close in on their returns, with the pair both set to participate in team training this week.
Meanwhile, Jesse Hogan will be a test for this week as he manages a reactive hip pointer.
The GIANTS will return home to ENGIE Stadium this Saturday to host the Bombers.
